Celebrating my arrival at the infamous Sydney Opera House with my PINK 2017 Passion Planner

Celebrating my arrival at the iconic Sydney Opera House with my PINK 2017 Passion Planner

In the fall of 2015, I was chatting with a very close friend about the need to make big moves in the year ahead, and without hesitation, she recommended I look up the Kickstarter-funded new gal-run company, Passion Planner.

Post graduation, Angela Trinidad decided she needed clarity for her long and short-term goals and decided whilst finding clarity for her future, she would also help people solve the problem of prioritizing and organizing their dreams and goals while keeping it in front of their faces.  The supreme idea of seeing your vision on paper, and checking each item off the list instead of just talking about them.  Thus, the tool Passion Planner was created.

Not only is it an all-in-one medium to help with being more badass in life, but on their two-year anniversary Passion Planner became a Get One, Give one Company, so with every planner purchased, one is given away.  After reading more about Angela's story and her great accomplishment I decided to download a free PDF of the Passion Planner to get a sample of what I would invest in and I was immediately hooked! I quickly made my order and waited eagerly for my very own Passion Planner to arrive.

As soon as my very own 2016 Passion Planner showed up in my mailbox, I took off for a coffee shop and got to work.  The instructions made it very easy to follow and with every mapping exercise and motivational quote I could more easily define what mattered to me, what was the most pressing issues to solve in life, and how I was going to be able to accomplish each goal in manageable bite-sized tasks.  After it was all set up I couldn't wait to start checking off each item one by one.  And the more I saw how much I could do in a short amount of time, the more it became an addiction.  I could see everything clearly and I was better designing my future; signing up for digital marketing classes, learning new photography skills, watching online tutorials for blogs, researching traveling the world, saving money, reading more, and reminding myself that although everything was new, I could tackle it and get to the greater levels of expertise I so desired.

At the end of each month I took the time to use the debrief activity and looked back at how I was performing, what I was gravitating towards, where my weaknesses were, what I could celebrate, and where I had really grown.  There was no one to hold me accountable but me and it soon realized it was more empowering than any other means of congratulations I could receive. This tool was also my personal and very private life coach.

Fast forward several months to April of 2016 - I took off to travel the world, finally ready, and I know the diligent day-in and day-out use of the Passion Planner helped me achieve this personal feat.  As I sit and write this message my 2017 Passion Planner sits next to my laptop. It has not only helped me accomplish tasks for traveling, but also the iterating of Her Travel Style, remembering how I used my time when I travel, other personal goals for the year ahead, and making sure I get important items checked off the list for things going on back in the states.  It helps to avoid blindspots for things I can't jeopardize missing back home.

If you are looking to get out of old patterns and thought forms and take your goal-setting and accomplishing those goals to the next level, I urge you to consider trying out a Passion Planner of your own.  There's no one to stop you, but you and why not at least give yourself a running start?!  Have the best time with your goal setting and let me know if you need any moral support.  Rooting for you already!
